Would you like to host a learning group in 2010?

Dear Network Members,

For the last month I have been collecting feedback on the idea of holding the learning groups virtually, the general response has been overwhelmingly positive - enabling us to reach a wider audience of people across Australia, to engage, inform and connect with all of our valued network and to allow us to learn from and support each other. There have also been a few concerns about the dynamic of this type of forum, and this we acknowledge will be more difficult to manage virtually – and of course it is not our intention to only connect with you in this way, but to also meet face to face when it is cost effective to do so.

I am therefore pleased to announce to you a proposed schedule of bi-monthly online events for 2010:

Session 1 – 9th February – 3pm Session 2 – 20th April – 3pm Session 3 – 22nd June – 3pm Session 4 – 17th August – 3pm Session 5 – 19th October – 3pm Session 6 – 14th December – 3pm

Questions for you:

Time – The session time of 3pm is at this point negotiable, I know some have suggested before or after hours, but not sure if this would work for those in WA and the such like – so how does 3pm feel?

Session Content - Given that past sessions have mainly been a facilitated discussion around an interesting article or current issue I would like to continue along this path, however for 2010 I am opening up the sessions to be run by you. I am inviting you, our experienced network to host a session – to open with an interesting discussion point, whether this is a hot topic such as Culture and EI post GFC, an interesting scenario or case study, or a practical application session around coaching for example. Following this you could then facilitate the session for discussion and comment on your area of expertise or interest.

If you would be interested in hosting one of the sessions, or would like to know a bit more about why, and what is involved please contact me as soon as possible.

I am very excited to kick these sessions off in 2010, and hope they will be informative, valuable and interesting for all – I look forward to connecting with you in the near future

Kind regards

Rebekka
