Business leaders like Elon Musk have made headlines for saying employees now must all return to the office. Government leaders took the hard line on border closures. Large corporations take the hard line against industrial action regularly. 

Every day, leaders make big decisions that are often unpopular or have long lasting impacts on customers, staff, organisational culture and more. That will never change.

About the speakers

Dr Ben Palmer

He built the Genos emotional intelligence leadership assessment and related training programs used by hundreds and thousands of leaders worldwide. Personally, he has trained over 100,000 leaders and worked closely to develop thousands of leaders one on one. A true expert in his field, Ben is the pre-eminent expert on emotional intelligence in leadership world wide.

He completed a PhD in Psychology at Swinburne University where he created the first Australian model and measure of emotional intelligence. Together with Swinburne University’s commercialization arm, he then co-founded Genos International in 2002 to bring his model and measure of emotional intelligence to the market. Genos, and Ben’s model and measure of emotional intelligence that forms its core business, is now a national and Australian export success story. For the fifth consecutive year Genos has been recognised by Training Industry in the USA as one of the Top 20 Global Assessment and Evaluation firms, a list that includes iconic companies in this space such as DDI and Korn Ferry. Kris Grant

After a successful executive career in the recruitment industry, Kris Grant became CEO of ASPL in 2015. Since that time, she has been responsible for a significant expansion in business operations and diversification into Leadership Training and Executive Mentoring and Coaching and Strategic Consulting Advisory services.
